Tecnoril®

TECNORIL®is a longlasting, resistant material but, like all high quality products, it may get damaged if used incorrectly. For easy maintenance and long-term use of a TECNORIL® washbasin or top, we offer a list with series of tips to follow so that you can be satisfied with the purchased product for many years:

General treatment

As general maintenance, we recommend you clean the surface with warm water and a mild detergent, using a damp cloth or soft sponge (e.g. soft cotton cloths such as a “natural multi-purpose” cloth). Then dry it with a soft cloth. Do not use cloths or pads with metal threads. Detergents that contain alcohol, strong acids or acetone must not be used. If such products should come into contact with this material, it is advisable to clean the surface immediately with plenty of water and detergent. Make sure you do not use coloured detergents that might leave residues of pigments.

Limescale deposits

For stains caused by water with a high limescale content, by soaps or mineral products, clean with a limescale-remover detergent (e.g. vinegar, VIAKAL®, AJAX®, CIF® anticalcare). Finish cleaning with warm water and a soft cloth. Then dry it with a soft cloth.

Residues of colouring substances

For other stains (felt-tip pens, lipstick, grease, food deposits, etc.), clean with an ammonia-based detergent (e.g. CIF® ammoniacal). Finish cleaning with warm water and a soft cloth. Then dry it with a soft cloth.

Scratches and cuts

For particularly persistent stains or small cuts and scratches, use an abrasive detergent (es.: VIM®, AJAX®) and an abrasive sponge (es.: SCOTCH-BRITE®). Finish cleaning with warm water and a soft cloth. Then dry it with a soft cloth.

Burns and deep cuts

For deep cigarette burns or particularly deep cuts, use the "Maintenance Kit" (available on request), or use a sequence of sandpapers 220/320/500 (finishing with 1000 if necessary), making sure that the area is cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth between sandpapers.
