The production process involves the application of a polyester/acrylic resin film to the inside surface of the mould, followed by injection of a mixture of inert materials and polyester resin (UP), which acts as a substrate for the surface film. After polymerization of the film and the substrate mixture, the Solid Surface product comes out of the mould in its almost final shape.

Then a post-hardening treatment completes the conversion and releases any accumulated tension, giving the Solid Surface product high quality mechanical features that do not change over time.

Mechanical processing for dimensional finishing and the subsequent smoothing and polishing stages therefore enable the end product to be transferred to the packaging department before being sent to the customer.
