Chemical Agent Resistance tests

UNI EN 14688 – UNI EN 13310

For this test, a series of acids, alkali, solvents and bleaches of pre-established concentrations are deposited on the surface of the product and left to react for 2 hours, while care is taken to prevent them from evaporating. The results are expressed as the presence or absence of permanent alterations to the surface. Moreover, the Omnitech laboratory is willing to carry out prior checks for customers on the resistance of Tecnoril® and Geacril® products to other chemical agents of particular importance to customers.

Stain Resistance test

UNI EN 14688 – UNI EN 13310

These tests determine the ability of the product not to stain upon contact (for 2 hours) with the most common staining agents (water-based and solvent-based dyes). The results are expressed as the absence of permanent stains after cleaning with water only, with water and detergent, and with water and a slightly abrasive detergent. Omnitech supplements this standard prescribed test by subjecting the material to a wide variety of commonly used staining agents (hair dyes, food products, beverages, cosmetics, disinfectant solutions etc.). Moreover, Omnitech is willing to carry out prior checks for customers on the resistance of Tecnoril® and Geacril® products to other staining agents of particular importance to customers.

Cigarette Resistance test

UNI 9241

The effect of a lit cigarette resting on a surface and its permanence up to a consumption of 2cm is tested.
